Change of Income Tax Helpline number for e-filing

Can be called on the helpline number for information on filing returns of income tax. Income tax department has issued an advisory that the e-filing helpline number has been changed. 
Income tax counseling has said that the e-filing desk number has changed and the new helpline desk number is 18001030025 for India, while the Direct Help Line number is +918046122000. The taxpayer can use incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in to fill out and get information on the income tax returns.

According to a senior Income Tax official, this number can be called on number if there is a problem in filing ITR and thereby eliminating the difficulties in e-filing. 
This helpline number is only for troubles facing e-filing. There is a separate helpline number for any other problem related to taxation.
